On Saturday April 18th, WBI staff and students were present again supporting the local Poppy Festival celebration in Lancaster City Park in the Antelope Valley. This is the second year the school has participated and again it was a rewarding experience for all.From the opening of the festival with the wailing bagpipe procession, the WBI team was inundated with parents and children. At times, the crowd was 5 to 6 rows deep. We even had Captain Jack Sparrow drop by for a few trinkets.
Children had their faces adorned with custom flowers and creatures, children and adults had their hair braided and spray-painted bright neon glow colors. The crowds were so great, every brochure, folder, pen, key fob or other gift was given away by the end of the show.
