WBI Students and Staff Volunteer in Mayor Villaraigosa's Day of Service

On June 27th, 2009, Western Beauty Institute's Students and Staff were offered a chance to participate in Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa's Day of Service. Rachel Reynoso, Placement Director for the San Fernando Valley campus said, "They contacted me and asked us to volunteer for the Day of Service." CEO, Ms. Christina Diaz loved the Day of Service idea and accepted the invitation. WBI was the only beauty school selected by the city to be a part of this honored event.

Here Are the Beautiful WBI Brides

On Thursday June 25th, the Western Beauty Institute at the San Fernando Valley campus hosted a couple of wedding day competitions. Students had to gather their best bridal fashion ideas since this was all about that special unforgettable day. The cosmetology school event was held in a two-part contest, the Fantasy Bridal Competition and the Bridal Competition.

WBI Goes Hollywood For A Day

They rolled out the red carpet and the entertainment's industry most famous celebrities such as Paris Hilton, Marilyn Monroe, singer David Cook, Audrey Hepburn from Breakfast at Tiffany's, Sandra Bullock, even Octomom and many others shined at the Western Beauty Institute. Of course we are talking about look-a-likes.

Enjoying Pajama Day During Spirit Week

Did our WBI students oversleep or miss their morning java? Nope. As part of Spirit Week at the Western Beauty Institute, Antelope Valley students put on their best sleepwear for the first ever Pajama Day. How cool is it for a school to let their students wear their flannels for a day?
