Despite advancements made in the treatment and prevention of HIV, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that the overall rate of infection continues to rise. This is the reason behind the AIDS Walk Los Angeles, a 10-kilometer walkathon that benefits AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA) in addition to several other local AIDS service organizations. For the past 25 years, APLA has been dedicated to providing bilingual services, prevention education, and leadership on HIV/AIDS-related policy and legislation.

Coming Soon! MyWBI™ Student Web Portal
Western Beauty Institute is proud to announce the completion of the initial phase of implementation of the beauty industry's very first beauty school student web portal. This portal, which we call “MyWBI™,” will be the central location a student may use to communicate, interact within and explore the WBI school and environment. Not only will students be able to create their own social interaction space (ala MySpace) but the technology will open access to the Western Beauty Institute student community from any place on the planet, as well as automate and streamline many of the day to day processes within the school environment.

WBI Sponsors MTV Music Video Awards
Western Beauty Institute will sponsor the broadcast of MTV’s live broadcast of its Video Music Awards (VMA) show on Time Warner Cable for the areas of the Antelope, Santa Clarita and San Fernando Valleys.
